We recently requested and received an energy audit from PECO Small Business Direct Install, and the results were amazing! By changing out the lighting to LEDs, we will cut our electric bill in half. Even with 60 month financing for the materials and work, the analyses indicates the church would save over $180 per month; this savings includes the monthly cost of financing. The work will be completed this summer, greatly reducing our energy usage during the dark winter months, and PECO’s usage of fuels like coal, natural gas or nuclear, to provide the electricity. After the installation is paid for, our church will save over $250 per month. This is an example where sustainable living also provides a significant financial savings!
PECO also does home energy audits. For just $25, a specially trained PECO energy advisor will visit your home, identify energy-saving opportunities and provide you with a personalized report. During the 1 to 2-hour visit, their energy advisor will provide an unbiased evaluation of your home’s energy efficiency and give you a personalized report with recommendations for improving efficiency. They will also install up to $125 of energy-saving items like LED bulbs at no additional cost, and recommend valuable PECO rebates for additional energy efficiency upgrades you can make working with a participating contractor.
